Busy weekend

Yesterday I opened our final bill from the cable co for our old address. There was a $522 charge on there for unreturned equipment! Needless to say I got on the phone and had some words with them. We had to go to their local office in person for some reason. Apparently it's taken care of. We'll see

Also the new place doesn't have a dishwasher. I think I might be too tired to stand long enough to do the rest of the dishes...

My dad's friends had the kind that you can attach up the hoses to your kitchen sink and have drain out into the sink, given it is deep enough. It was quite cool- on wheels so you could store it in a closet. The only glitch is if you have poor water pressure from the mains.

Sounds like you got a lot of the more annoying bits about moving done, so that's a plus!

I'm hoping to have my house up and running for a party around Halloween. In case you have time around then to come up north...

We used to have a portable dishwasher when I was a kid too. The current plan is to redo the kitchen some time in the next 6-12 months, so I'm hoping I can hold out. No point in buying *two* dishwashers really... (-:
