LATE PIE POST STILL TASTES GOOD.
CHERRY! omg so good.
I bought two quarts of fresh bing cherries that morning and spent the afternoon pitting them, staining my hands dark purple red and they were delicious, eating the little scraps.
Used a cream cheese crust and made a lattice top. Turned out successful but lots of work especially on such a hot day, lol. The butter kept melting as I was rolling out the crust.
Also, I don't like using tapioca in pie. It was weird.
Still delicious pie for the fourth of July! Ate it with some homemade vanilla ice cream....
