010: Home
It’ll never be home here. Not for her.
She hates it. Despises it so much she can barely think sometimes. Oh, she hates it. Wishes they could go home, because home, where they're wanted criminals is still better than here.
Dale walks by and it’s like he senses her displeasure because he stops. Slips his arms around her. Kisses her neck and reminds her of why she stays. His hands find the hem of her shirt and he gives her a very pointed hint.
She smiles. "Not right now, darling."
He’s a little put out, but he doesn’t complain. She sits on the couch. Invites him to join her. Curls up next to him with her head on his chest.
"I love you," he mumbles, lips brushing over her hair.
She blushes, but responds in kind, anyway. Then, "Can we go home now?"
