Summary: Catharine goes looking for him on the roof.

033: Moonlight

She stepped out onto the roof of the building and took a look around. Geoffrey was standing against the wall. She almost hit him with the door.

“Sorry!”

He laughed at her and stepped around the offending slab of metal to get a good look at her.

The moon was out and it was a relatively clear night. Silver light danced on her skin and hair and he drank in the sight appreciatively. She blushed.

“You look fantastic,” he murmured, leaning in for a kiss.

“I look like I just got off work,” she murmured back, letting his lips touch hers.

“You got off work three hours ago,” he reminded her. She snorted. He grinned. “Doesn’t mean anything, huh?”

“No kidding,” she agreed. “Then again, my mother is work unto herself.”

He wisely chose not to comment here. Mrs. Scott still had not warmed to him, and she showed no signs of ever doing it. No need to antagonize Catharine over her mother.

Besides, there were better things he could be doing with his mouth.

He kissed her again and led her to the edge of the roof, sitting down with his legs dangling off the side. She followed suit a moment later, holding his hand to steady herself.

Cars raced by beneath them. Someone shouted. Someone else honked. A siren blared and someone else got pulled over. Above them, the moon glowed and the stars twinkled.

Geoffrey slipped an arm around her and enjoyed the moment.
