030: Mowing the Lawn
One thing Catharine hated about Geoffrey’s apartment was the lawn mowers. They always seemed to start right under Geoffrey’s bedroom window at obscene hours, and go all day.
She groaned and got out of bed, decided to start her day an hour earlier than normal.
Geoffrey was already at work. He was opening the bookstore this morning. She didn’t have to be at the office for another two hours. Catharine wondered if he’d had coffee before he left. The brewer was clean, but that didn’t mean much with Geoffrey. There weren’t any grounds in the trash, though.
She reached for the phone and dialed his work number deftly, reaching for her wallet to determine where she’d be obtaining coffee today.
