He leaned over to kiss her. She pulled away.
“Geoff, we’re in a hospital.”
“I know,” he said.
She glared at him from her chair. He leaned over again. Catharine gave him a look that spoke volumes about his death, if he were to continue with this path. He grinned and ignored it in favor of catching her lips up in a gentle kiss.
Catharine relented and let him continue, not following up on the empty, unspoken threat between them. She even kissed him back a little.
When Geoffrey started to pull her onto the bed with him, though, she stood up, almost dumped him on the floor.
“I think I just made up somewhere I need to be,” she informed him acidly.
Geoffrey grinned and watched her go, the tried to cover his arousal when a nurse took her place.
