"Do you have Valentine’s Day off?" Geoffrey asked.
"Hm? No, I don’t think so," Catharine replied. "Why?"
"Can you get it off?"
"I guess I could, if I go ahead and put in for it," she mused. "Got something planned?"
"I might."
She smiled. He followed the curve of her lips with his eyes.
"Fine," she sighed after a long moment. "I’ll put in for it."
Geoffrey grinned triumphantly. "Excellent."
"So, now that we’ve made plans for something that’s over a month away, would you like to decide what we’re going to do today?"
He grabbed her hand and kissed her fingers. "Whatever you want, babe."
