It has already been over 2 months since returning to Japan. As I found myself with absolutely nothing to do because the students are having finals for the 2nd term, I began to write.

So let's fast-forward and ignore the fact that I failed to upkeep my blog after my arrival in Kyoto for study abroad over a year ago...

If I had watched the news last night, or thought to check my flight status before leaving, I would've found a canceled flight. Ironically, a FedEx plane was the cause. With this being the first fatal accident in Narita Airport history, I'm starting to feel a bit jinxed. Maybe I shouldn't travel anywhere...

So those papers finally came on Friday. Turns out a digit was left off the street address. >_On Monday I went to the Japan Consulate in Downtown LA. So in order to apply for my student visa, I need something called a Certificate of Eligibility which shows that I will have residence status. The originals MUST come directly from Japan, and because Japan has different paper sizes than the US, it needs special shipping.
