Maybe he overreacted. Maybe Goose said something completely out of line that might have deserved a thrashing. But the proud Magikoopa found it difficult to forgive what Naval did that night, whether she had good reason to or not. And it certainly didn't help that deep down, he was still afraid of her vines.

Then came the snowstorm. Okay, so maybe Naval's sudden irritability was kind of his fault. He should have known the cold weather would have an adverse effect on Pirahna Plants (thank the stars Petey wasn't there). Still, her passing off threats didn't help their already downtrodden relationship. But as long as Naval was willing to set things straight, so was he. It's only in their best interest, of course. Strictly business. Yeah.

It wasn't long before Kamek arrived at the Cafe. It looked like Naval had already been waiting from him at the front door. He hopped off his broom, and approached his minion. "Naval," he said, as acknowledgment. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting."

Strictly business...

Strictly business!

"N-NO YOU DIDN'T MASTER KAMEK REALLY!"

She was practically shaking in her boots when he approached her. In the past, she always picked up what mood he was in by the sound of his voice, but now she gets to see his face, too, and even after these last couple of months, looking at him up close is still taking some getting used to.

Kamek couldn't help but scrutinize her after the outburst. It didn't take a mind-reader to know that Naval was anxious about something. But what? You'd think he was going to lunge at her from the way she--

Oh, that's right. The past couple months haven't gone swimmingly, have they? He tried to reassure her with a smile. "If you say so," He said dismissively with a wave of his hand. "Let's get something to drink."

"Okay!"

All is going well so far, right? Right?

She walked up to the door and held it open for her master.
