Rajani was a little apprehensive about this, to be honest. While in general, Goose seemed to be a nice guy, he was a bit...shallow, in some respects. So why was she drawn to him...? She dismissed those thoughts quickly. Apart from Cecilia, she'd never had a "friend" before. Maybe she was simply considering him a friend...? lol forming attachments easily.

It wasn't long before she... materialized... from a darker area behind the bench, approaching him wordlessly. Greetings: Rajani was bad at them.

Goose suddenly felt a presence behind him. With a flip of the head, bam, he noticed a Rajani. Hey there, Rajani.

"Janieeee," He grinned. "So ya' showed up. Ya've been alright?" Might as well start this somewhere!

Rajani twitched at the unexpected nickname, but said nothing of it at first. "All things considered, I have been well. I trust the same applies to yourself?" A pause, then she gave him a questioning look. "...but...'Janie'?"

"Yeeeeep, been pretty good," Goose spoke, leaning back against the wooden back of the bench. "And hey, I need a nickname to call ya. Sounds like somethin' that fits ya'. A cute name for a cute girl, eh?"

hey it's getting kind of cramped over there, y'know? creeperpokemon October 8 2009, 23:57:56 UTC
Rajani almost told him that she didn't know the appeal either, and it was more for practicality than anything else...before she realized that that would give away that she was not actually human. Not knowing his thoughts on non-humans apart from robots, she kept that to herself for now.

Instead, she focused her response on what Goose had said. "You're a pilot, then?" ((Forgive me if he told her this already and my memory's just retarded.))

"Ohoooo-hell yeah," Goose's smirk became a wide, toothy grin. His eyes twinkled in delight upon his job being brought up at all, his very purpose for being on this earth at all (so he believed). Rajani, be prepared for a rant.

"I'm from a place called Holiday Island. Their army allies with the Little States Army, but their specialty in the branch is housin' pilots and trainin' them in their own facility. I come from that island and I've been trained 'round that place for a while. I became a pilot there and, well, kinda branchin' out m'self. S'actually why I'm here. I'm here to offer my services as a pilot in this city."

Blah blah blah blah blah.

Don't worry, Janie was one of (probably) few people who did not mind having their ears talked off. I mean, look who she grew up around...

Ramble ramble ramble, blah blah blah, oh yeah... oh yeah. How long has he been talking? Oh geez.

"And... oh, damn, ya' listenin'?" Goose snickered before he took another sip of his drink to wet his throat. It was dry now from all the ranting.

"Well damn, then I... wait... do ya' even have any friends at all?" Goose gave her a look that was half-surprised and actually half-sympathetic. Wow. He couldn't imagine life friendless!

She shook her head again, fidgeting with... a different pendant, the one with the Lunar Wing on it. "There is one... I have known her nearly all my life..." A pause. "She is probably the closest thing I have to family."

"Childhood friend? Heh, nice," Goose grinned. "Never really had one o' them or any kinda' family. Just my mom and pop back home."

He then yawned and leaned back into the couch again. "'Least ya' ain't alone, eh?"
