Cor, Brian Logan, what an extraordinarily well-written article on musical comedy you have penned for The Guardian.

Argh. BAD FLASHBACK!
I went to see two - TWO! - Comedy Shuffles recorded back-to-back once. We got a free little plastic cup of cheap wine. I needed stronger drugs. It was painful in every way. You couldn't even sit down. Said 'Doktor' was on. Several times He muffed it once and looked like he was going to cry. That might have made me laugh, but I was too near tears myself by that stage.

I'm a bit baffled by him being baffled by Tom Lehrer, though. I'd never have put 'Tom Lehrer' and 'pop music' in the same sentence. How can you not know Tom Lehrer? 'Poisoning Pigeons in the Park'? I'm changing my MySpace music to it now, thinking about it. Ah, Spring...
