To Snack or Not to Snack...

A few people have expressed interest in having a Snape/Sirius meet-up at DiaCon Alley. Given that I'm a little bit of a fan of the pairing myself (::cough:: bwahaha!), I thought I'd go ahead and set up this comm and see how many others might be on board ( Read more... )

Aw, that sucks. And tell me about it, ugh. I really can't afford this trip, but I'm just NOT going to miss DiaCon. ;)

I'm not going, of course, but if you are thinking of doing goody bags, I can see about cooking up some buttons. (Since I am a one-trick pony.)

Wheee, that'd be awesome! \o/

It'll be a small group, I imagine, so we'd only need a few. Unless you just want to make some extras to pimp the ship. LOL

Heeeeeey, question... I was going to look into having buttons made for a variety of things... I wonder if I could sorta "commission" you to do them. Pay for the materials plus give you some extra for your time?

That's probably doable. I invested in a real buttonmaker and a circle cutter earlier this year so it only takes me a couple of minutes per button, aside from the time fitting art/letters into the template (which is one of those tasks that tends to expand to fill available time, especially if the buttons are all different from one another). The metal parts cost 21 cents per button at the bulk I bought them in and then there's the ink and paper, so say 25 cents a button for materials. I've got about 150 part sets available, I think, 2 1/4" size only. Art needs to be fairly large, around 1000 pixels square, although depending on the art, they can actually be enlarged quite a bit more than would normally be possible because of the small print size of the finished product.

Hmm, awesome. I will ponder things and get back to you. :D But at any rate, yes, something for the meetup would be lovely! ♥
