Facebook privacy meltdown.

I read the BoingBoing post, but I still don't understand what purchases Facebook makes public... Stuff you buy through Facebook? Stuff you buy on any website while you're logged in on Facebook? Stuff you buy on any website ever?

I wonder if it's something like this - you see adverts saying "your friend Verrucaria has purchased [insert title of book/DVD/sex toy here] which is available [insert title of website here] and you might like it too!"

I'm guessing.

Yeash. I never joined facebook because there's no way I'd keep up with another site/blog, but I'm glad I didn't!
