Check Your Meds

While at the pharmacy today, they brought it to my attention that they gave me the wrong prescription last month for my Actos. So when I got home I checked. The label reads 30mg Tablets, which would be right, but each tablet inside was only 15mg. I was wondering why I was having such a hard time controlling my sugars this past month. when I take my oral insulin with my other meds, I check to make sure it is the correct dosage as I put it in a weekly dosage box for Monday through Sunday. That helps me take note of my meds every week.

Oral insulin? What exactly do you mean by that?

You took the words right out of my mouth. They don't make oral insulin. Besides checking your meds to be sure you've got the right dosage and all, one should also know what the medication they are taking is for, and if there are any long term side effects. I'm sure it was just a quick misthought.

When I say oral insulin, that is medication taken by mouth. I take the Actos 45mg (1 time daily) and the Glucophage (1000mg 2 times daily) with my other medications. Both of these meds are for insulin resistance. If you need more information, go to this link:
