Hello. I'm doing the Ultra Lente and Humalog thing too. What brand of Ultra Lente do you use? I seem to be finding that from bottle to bottle the effect of the Ultra Lente is inconsistent. My doc thought it was maybe because I wasn't rotating my injection sites enough. (This is hard for me since I have such low body fat, that it's hard to find places where I can grab enough flesh to inject). Anyway, I've been using more places, and I am still finding that the insulin seems inconsistent. With some vials I need a lot less, others a lot more. It really seems to me that the quality control of the insulin is poor. I may try switching brands. (I currently use Lilly synthetic human Ultra Lente). My exercise and diet is pretty consistent, so I'm pretty sure the problem is with the Ultra Lente.

I've been using the Lilly synthetic ultra lente for about a year, but it seems to be working okay for me. Maybe it reacts to you differently? Hrm. I also have the injection site - body fat problem; I've been taking martial arts for about 2 years now and have had to switch sites from my thighs to my stomach, and the fat's slowly going away there too!
