Never had BG this High Before

I just checked my blood sugar a little while ago and it was 575. I was utterly shocked. I checked it again to make sure and it was 564. I have never had blood sugar this high before. I called an advice nurse who put a Dr. on the phone. He told me to drink lots of water and come in tomorrow morning. I'm hoping this is good advice...

We just got back from a four day camping trip this evening. I forgot to bring my BG monitor with me on the trip. While we were there, I started to feel funny and I still do. I have been drinking tons of water and peeing an abnormal amount... I mean not only am I going often, there is just a huge quantity of urine every time I go. Last night my left eye kinda hurt and I noticed my vision was blurry in that eye too. The blurry vision is bothering me right now actually. I also feel like I'm not quite thinking clearly. It's hard to concentrate and to figure out the best way to put things.

Background: I'm 26 years old, 5'4, 130 lbs., Type ?? and I'm not on insulin or any other medication for diabetes.

Some of you might remember me, I posted here a few times while I was pregnant.(btw, I'm almost 5 months postpartum now and my son is doing great!) I was diagnosed a little over a year ago with atypical type 2 (atypical I have no family history, I am not overweight, I eat well, I am active, I am young etc). Then due to a c-peptide test I was diagnosed as late onset type 1. I actually got pregnant sometime in the two weeks after my diagnosis because the dr. told me I probably couldn't conceive without fertility drugs so we stopped being careful and it turned out I didn't need fertility drugs to get pregnant after all! Anyway, while I was pregnant my OB said there was no way I was a type 1 and didn't even think I was diabetic at all because my A1c was so low (5.6). My post partum tests all came back normal. They told me it must have just been a mild case of gestational diabetes(even though I was diagnosed right before becoming pregnant?) Well I was thrilled and almost let myself believe them... but I have been checking my sugars and they are not normal. I go high and low all the time. 575 and the feeling like crap that goes along with it is hard to ignore. 40 and being shaky, sweaty, and hungry all the sudden also is hard to ignore. This is definetly not all the details but I really don't want to write a novel on here about all this now.

The point is, I was diagnosed over a year ago and they have never figured out what type I am or why I go low all the time without medication. Then I'm told I probably don't even have diabetes until here I am walking around at 575 and wondering why everything is blurry. I could say so much more but it's 1 am and I am so incredibly tired from all the swimming, hiking, packing, unpacking etc. I'm going to bed, I guess if anyone is interested in this post I will update after I go in to the Dr tomorrow.
