He breathed out. He would be doing the same soon enough; he'd have to settle to the thought that the ocean here wasn't made of vinegar and wouldn't burn his skin.

Cameron wasn't about to move from her spot, though, as he didn't read as a threat just now... so she waited until he was close enough to hear and then said, clearly, "Hello."

He hadn't met her yet, after all, but he could be polite. He bowed his head, forgot he wasn't wearing a hat, and gave a small smile.
"You're the new one that Dan told me about, aye?"
