Well, TH is scary for me more in that I feel like I'm stepping on people's toes, being too loud, and too over-the-top. I feel like I'm grating on people's nerves or only giving half-assed fic compared to the writers there. It's very elite in many places and my greatest disadvantage is my age. Really? I'm out of place because I'm NOT twice the age of the guys y'all are writing about? At least with Panik, the other authors don't know my age or have already decided to ignore my writing because I'm a n00b. Since when do you have to have kids to write fic?
