Ironically, I didn't ship in Inuyasha which was an anime which had a odd triangle in its center. I guess I liked just the trauma of it all lol.
I guess I didn't ship that much even in HP, though that's not a TV series. I kind of went everywhere but I liked the friendship in teh series much more than the relationships of love. I think she handled that friendship amazingly.

I'm satisfied with fringe as it is, even if walter is such a cute peter/olivia shipper :) I not into Fringe for the romance... (I would like more "horizontal" plot, though) And yes, Cougar Town friendship is awesome, I hope they never go into the greyson/jules direction too much. if things stay as in the last episode I'm ok with it.

I think I will actually stop watching Bones if they get together, I hate them together that much. I'm not scared of it ruining the show, I just don't want it to happen, and I kind of hate Bones, and think her and Brennan don't really go together like most of fandom does.
I've stopped watching Bones when the Booth/Bones thing became annoying. What I liked was the unusual way to solve the misteries, not the "love story" between the characters...
I wonder if what you're hating isn't the will-they-or-won't-they as much as how POORLY the specific shows you've mentioned handle them? ESPECIALLY Chuck. There is NO REASON for those two not to be together, and every excuse they fabricate to keep them apart gets more fucking ridiculous than the next. I used to ship them, but now? I don't care. At all.
I'll miss the writers in the Heroes fandom, too. And the Heroes mythology, which was so rich and had so many characters to choose from even if its canon went the way of suck

oh, yes, probably! in few days I've watched all those shows and chuck was the final straw. I was like STOP! I DON'T CARE! GIVE ME MY FUNNY SHOWS BACK! LOL!
I've tried reading other fandoms but Heroes is the only one I'm really interested enough to actually read fics (beside my OTP/ship) because I love the Heroes characters. and probably because the fics are way better than the canon? ah.
Shipping lets me be more active in my watching. Does that make any sense? Lol. It does. I see your point. Used to happen to me too, but lately I'm more interested in other characters dynamics (friendship, rivalry etc) or the arc story per se or just that one charming/broken/kicking ass/funny/whatever character than pairing two character together (canon or not). who knows, maybe I'm just becoming a cynic old lady ah ah

I mean, the last Castle promo was hot and fun (the one where castle daydreams about becket) but let's the things stay that way, please? I'm really interested to see Micheal Trucco character joining the cast, let's see how it goes! :)
big big mistake looking out the NCIS fandom... it scared me! I didn't knew the Heroes Fandom was so much better.
