Is it bad that I'm wondering if her internal dialogue is really as internal as she thinks it is?

I think my favorite part of this is that Zared is entirely focused on Ami. Oh, sure he's probably counting on some kind of recompense at home (and Ami seems to be planning that), but still, I love that he's all about her here.

It's sweet.

It's all physically about her, but he's got the male ego because 1. he manages to do something that under normal (read: sober) conditions, she probably would not allow & 2. he made sure she got hers.

I just reread that: did I take all the 'sweet' out of the fic? I think it would've been better your way...

No, you didn't take all the sweet out.

1) She knew he was planning to take advantage of her being tipsy and seems to have been more than ok with it, which makes it not taking advantage.... and therefore not unsweet. (does that make sense?)

2) He feels good about himself for being able to take care of the woman he loves... no, that still qualifies as sweet. I mean, his ego is coming from knowing that he can make Ami feel good. And there is nothing wrong with being proud of a job well done!
