Awww. Adorable. And pure David. He would so do that because-
one: no one can resist Nick's "help me please" look
and
two: he got to embarrass Nick while helping him (always a bonus).

And just a few little things (because I'm a picky lil reader. Sorry)-
David was almost proud when Nick stepped forward, placing his hand on David's hip, he'd taken his sweet time, but it seemed he was catching on.
This is just a bit of a run on.

"You can leave now too, you're results are on the table," David said.
It should be your, not you're.
