out of curiosity, what do you mean by "compactness imbedding?"

Sorry 'compact imbedding,' like the Rellich-Kondrachov theorem, where a bounded subset of certain Sobolev spaces with sufficiently nice domain is compact in Lp spaces. Or something like that.
