I wouldn't think that them owing past taxes should keep them from moving out and you from moving in. I know it varies depending on where you live, but that almost sounds kind of fishy. After all, they can make a deal to pay the taxes from anywhere; they don't have to stay in the house to do it. I'm angry on your behalf.

I'm glad to hear you're still alive and doing okay aside from the stress, though. Hopefully things will settle down for you soon.
