you'll probably think I am a light weight.angeyjaMay 5 2007, 03:10:31 UTC
but when I think about running I mainly think about time, as in what I did tonight would have been about about a half hour for a runner (ok after that things like shin splints and lack of lung capacity, and they might not have chatted with the wood chuck.)
My five miles rambling are only good for weekends. Are you running much now?

Well, I ran 40 minutes this afternoon, and I fell short of five miles. I didn't get into deep conversations, but I did nod to the Canada geese. I've had interesting rapport -- well, I thought it was rapport -- with deer and ducks and goldfinches while running. So I feel that I'm in touch with nature when I run, even if I'm passing through it at a (slightly) accelerated pace.
I'm planning to be there; I haven't made any arrangements, per se, but I figure they always seem to take care of themselves. Oh wait, they always seem to be taken care of me at the exact last minute. Which is the exact last minute again?
I'll drive up on Friday morning and then leave on Monday, though Sunday night I may do nothing but watch the NBA playoffs. This assumes I can get a hold of my birth certificate; my passport is wending itself around Washington, D.C., right now, whoring itself out for a passel of visas.
