Does this tie in with your whole lack of belief in the ability to change your birth date by PMA in your other post? Cos I for one always claim to have been born on April 23rd.

Sadly, people still don't believe I wrote Hamlet. But then, they don't believe Shakespeare did either I guess.

And if this is babbling, it's cos I've been put off my cool by glee about you posting.

We do, however, believe that you wrote Romeo and Juliet.

Oh, man. I mean, you *could* go the pre-order route, which I find often gets me stuff a day or two before the official release date. (Then again, you run the risk of having to wait an extra week or so due to the vagaries of the postal system...)

I'll probably go to Barnes & Noble, as they tend to have things ahead of the official release date (actually, Borders does also, though again behind B&N).

I'm just a slave to the big box stores; which is unfortunate because, as you might recall, it was Murder Ink that sold me their advance copy of A Long Line Of Dead Men a whole month before its official release.

Heh. I'm sure it's nothing personal.... but we must be almost due for another revision of the calendar, aren't we?

I don't get it.

Don't we, like, adjust the calendar every few centuries or so anyway, to keep it in sync with the seasons? So we could totally just declare that February 14th will fall on the 15th this year (or vice versa) and confuse the heck out of everyone thus render the Lawrence Block release date more personally relevant to you.

...and working html is always good: I meant, adjust the calendar.

Well, it was sort of a flash fandom of mine in January. lynnmonster sent me a bunch of episodes, boniblithe sent me a few more, and I downloaded the rest and watched them in great binges over the course of six days. I was terribly addicted, but I haven't felt inclined to get that involved in the fandom -- other than snagging an icon here or there.

Since I have not yet put your birthday present in the mail--it's still sitting in the back of my car (I'm suffering from bad carma lately)--shall I order that for you for your birthday? I can manage to stretch things out for several weeks. Glad to see you are posting again.

I don't think that will be necessary. I'm sure that I'll be able to find a copy of it myself (and it's the type of book I don't like to entrust to Amazon's quality control department).
