Recently, I was involved in a discussion on the board concerning the shared realities created when television shows crossover. It is surprising, and a little scary, to see how many shows actually can be linked in this way. It is weirdly fascinating all these little universes created by guest-starring characters it's like the Marvel and DC worlds. Didn't Mad About You have an episode where Paul Reiser's character was supposed to have lived in Jerry Seinfeld's old apartment? And of course the St. Elsewhere connection implies that all these worlds are contained within the mind of an autistic child.

Hmm, I think some doctors from St. Elsewhere turned up on Scrubs too.
