You never told me you had a sick kitty! I love kitties! I hate sick ones. My ex's cat up and died on us from a form of anemia she got from an extra allergic reaction to fleas. We didn't notice her deteriorating because she hid all the time, like behind the refridgerator and stuff.

By the time we realized we had to take her to the vet, she was so far gone, she died on his table.

Alone without us there!

I hate sick kitty stories.

Hope your kitty feels better. And when he goes, I hope he goes peacefully and loved.

Well, I didn't really have time to tell anyone about the sick kitty, as I didn't really notice how serious it was until late Tuesday night.

I once had two very young kittens die from anemia -- their mother wasn't feeding them enough -- it was a singularly awful experience.

Thank you for your thoughts and hopes. I share those hopes.

I'm a cat nut. It makes me talk baby-talk. It makes me feel all sad or happy or cranky or otherwise emotional.

I have two cats. They are furry.

Cat nutting runs in the family. My poor mother has one grand child and six grand-cats.

Having lost a cat this year, an old one though, I really felt terrified when I started reading your post. Thanks for beginning with the end.

Sounds like that kitty found the right person. So glad he's going to be OK.

When I first started your post, I read it as "any day a cat dies is not a good day" - thank god I misread it! Heaps of love and wishes for continued good health to your kitty - doesn't he have a respectably unusual name, like Popsicle? - from my Pickles and me.

The Little One is called "the Little One" because, having just gotten two cats with the respectably unusual names of Creamsicle and Leviathan, I wasn't planning to keep this one after he'd reached an appropriate age to be given away. Therefore, I never officially named him, not wanting to get attached. This plan didn't quite work out.

Sounds like the cat my family had when I was in school masqthephlsphr January 15 2004, 14:35:47 UTC
Her name, even on her official vet records, was "Kitty". We just couldn't agree on a name, and finally "Kitty" just stuck. Luckily, "Kitty" is a perfectly acceptable name for a human female, so it's not a cheesy name for a female cat.

I always say.

My kitty send kitty-strength to your kitty! She's a fat lazy thing and doesn't need it at the moment ;-)

Hope he's feeling better now, the little fighter! They can be amazingly strong can't they...

My cats' names... angels_nibblet January 15 2004, 17:47:29 UTC
...are Pookie and Caesar, after Garfield's teddy bear (though I think he was spelt slightly differently) and well, Julius Caesar because it felt appropriate. Strange how they seem to have taken on the personality of their name, Pookie is a fat lazy creature not unlike a teddy bear, who just wants to be cuddled all the time, and Caesar is a slightly arrogant hunter-type animal, though he does have his softer side.

Dammit, now you've got me in a rant about my cats, I could be here for days :-P...
