Apparently, my house is too far away from the cable drop to make installing a cable modem worthwhile. It's about 500 feet to the drop; the installer claims that there's too little signal for a modem after 200 feet. I'm disappointed.

This means no DSL, right? And I was looking forward to beaucoup d'Herblay on the www and IM!

Well, DSL is another issue, one that I'm looking into.

I'm still wondering how I can convince either my current cable provider or the cable provider I was almost signed up with to extend the trunk line about four hundred feet -- as well as wondering what aesthetic impact this will have on my backyard.

Hm... and DSL is too pricey, or not possible in your region?

We need to talk! I need to install that Yahoo! Msgr! Ahhhh!

Sounds like a spy novel.

It does. Unfortunately, in this spy thriller, I'm 008, knifed somewhere in Berlin before the opening credits. Damn that James Bond and his convenient broadband hookups!

What, this old thing? It was only the second animated icon I made. My text placement has gotten a lot better since then!
