Can anyone tell me whether or not a new Angel will be shown on the 26th? Or is "Destiny" the last episode of the sweeps period?

One of the tv websites is saying that Josie & the Pussycats will be shown on the 26th because of American Thanksgiving. Not really sure why this is holiday fare but it does have that Seth Green-starring boy band parody at the beginning- "Du Jour means friendship!"

Thank you.

Considering that I'm not taping anything after the 26th, I think I will forego futzing with the VCR and just let it record the last hour of Josie. I can rewind later.

I'm not sure why networks are reluctant to show continuing series on Thanksgiving (ummm, American Thanksgiving) The 26th should be about the last day of sweeps, I guess. On the other hand, it is one of the busiest travel days of the year, so I'm going to assume that the WB does not want any of the hordes of faithful Angel viewers who are forced to spend that day in the air to miss anything important. They're so considerate, the WB executives who exist purely in my imagination.

Spoiler Slayer is confirming that both Smallville and Angel will be pre-empted that night for Josie and the Pussycats.

I don't know. So why am I posting in your comments? I forgot to tape this week's ep (because I was in hell myself) and I guess I just want to be reassured that it was as bad as all the previous ones this season (with a less-dishonourable mention for the Hallowe'en episode, which at least spent time with all the characters even though part of that time ws spent watching Angel and Eve-il have sex -- MY EYES!! MY EYES !!!!@@!@!!!1).

I thought that Wednesday's episode was excellent, though slightly draggy. Looking at Friends and Friends' Friends, it seems that there's a broad opinion that it was the best of the season to date. I liked last weeks a little better, though. Of course, I loved the werewolf episode too, so I cannot be trusted. But to prefer "Life of the Party" to anything else this season? Now that's a minority opinion.

Wave your freak flag high.

FUCK. Why did I have to miss the one episode that has everyone talking (and btw, la la la, I can't hear you)?? The werewolf episode was okay (and I didn't hate the girl) but for one glaring omission: they really really needed to at least MENTION Oz. (As in, "Don't worry, chiquitita, you *can* live a normal life 25 days a month. I once knew a dude who managed it.") Don't get me wrong, LotP was not a great ep -- I'm not so much of a freak as to love Hulk!Lorne, and the handling of the "sleep removed" idea was clunky -- but At. Least. We. Got. To. See. The. Characters. Instead of JUST Spike and his Zellweger-esque sidekick, Fred. God I hate her. In fact, currently I hate all the women on the show (Harmony would be okay if the writers knew how to use her better). I've been jonesing like crazy for Cordelia.

In conclusion,
(1) Fuck you, Joss.
but also
(2) I have yet to see either of the 2 episodes that aired in November, both of which are rumored to have been significantly better than the preceding (4? 5?).

It is my theory that they did mention Oz, subtly. Spike says that he was once fought with a werewolf for hours. (To which Fred responded, "Angel killed him with a pen.") What Spike left out was that the sparring was verbal, the subject of disputation was whether the Sex Pistols were better with Sid Vicious than with Glen Matlock, and the fight could basically be boiled down to:

SPIKE:
Sid, man, Sid represents what it means to be punk.
That feeling when you're on the edge all the time, when
the wankers in their suits and their handcrafted shoes
have to watch out because you'd as soon slice them open
or gob on them as give them the time of day. Sid Vicious
is the very blood of punk, the marrow, the bloody
lymphatic system.

OZ:
Dude, the man couldn't play.
