Ahh, yes, procrastination. Such an old, and very faithful, friend. I think every time I have travelled overseas in the last lo-these-many years, it's involved 3AM laundry. Thank G-d for 24-hour laundromats...
In all honesty, I also do this for domestic travel. My last load is now done, but not yet out of the dryer. I was thinking that though inconvenient, a 24-hour laundromat might be more efficient. That way I'd have to spend only an hour and a half doing my wash. I could play Spider Solitaire just as easily there as I could at home.
I would probably also do it for domestic travel, I just don't tend to travel as much domestically (OR AT LEAST I DIDN'T UNTIL I WAS A PRISONER IN THIS COUNTRY THANK YOU SO MUCH USINS/BCIS/USCIS OR WHATEVER THE HELL YOU ARE CALLING YOURSELVES NOW YOU INCOMPETENT MOFOS). Pardon my French. Er, I mean, Pardon my freedom. Whatever.
I enjoy enabling your procrastination (tho' you're probably on the damn plane by now).
