Oh, I don't think they have anything against Prince, per se, because they are cats of good taste and also, I was wearing headphones. I think it was more the stomping and the mimicking of the blaring horn lines which did it.

I could certainly make it down to London on that weekend. Just name your time. And make sure I'm able to watch England in the Rugby World Cup final if they make it.

Ok, let's start working things out then. I arrive on the 15th and leave on the 1st. Obviously, the first weekend will involve the heavy weight of jet lag dragging me down; the last weekend will be otherwise dedicated. So, should we need a weekend, that pretty much leaves Saturday the 22nd or Sunday the 23rd. However, I do not require a weekend. I'm not sure what is convenient for you or for KdS or yaby (or anyone else who wants to come along). It's a shame you don't get the 28th off. I've often suggested that you should have a holiday to celebrate shearing off a particularly joyless and depressing segment of your population, sort of a "Let's give thanks that those blighters are out of here" day. But I suppose that would open a whole can of worms -- you'd need a whole week to properly appreciate Australia Day.

I can definitely do that weekend. I don't know whether we could do a full sacramental Board Meet, with Capital Letters on the 22nd or 23rd, but I don't particularly mind either way if it's my choice. I can probably get down to London by about 11am earliest, and I shouldn't leave later than about 8 if I want to get back to Coventry.

Well, I'm the person involved who has the least number of possible conflicts, so I don't think I'm the person who should be making the call at all. If yaby or KdS or anyone else has some preferences, he or she should speak up. However, if forced to make the call, I will make the call sometime after I get to London. Watch this space come Tuesday!
