While I was poking around the Kart00 map for masqthephlsphr's site, the most far-flung link I came across was this Brazilian weblog. We've had a few Brazilian posters at the board -- Vox Populi comes to mind. I think, but am not sure, that Filipe Rijo (or some such) was also Brazilian, and also that Filipe would better fit the demographics of "Oz," the ( Read more... )

If only I can figure out a fannishly-recognizable avatar for "Howard" and "Dean," I will have an icon primary. I've already got John (Carter) and Kerry (Weaver) from E.R.. I suppose that Dennis Kucinich, Richard Gephardt and Joe Lieberman will be out of the running -- as in real life.

I'm considering even branching out into foriegn politics . . . if I can find an Iain. Duncan from Highlander and Agent Smith from The Matrix up against Tony the Tiger and The Facts of Life's Blair.

I do, however, realize that any such iconographic primary will be swayed by the attractiveness of the various fandoms. I also realize that a lot of people are going to look at my Wesley Clark icon, ignore the rebus, and just think I'm attracted to the pretty boys. That's not true!

Ok. Maybe a little.

I did a screenshot (thanks Bit!) -- alt-Prnt Scrn on my Wintel, then pasted that into Photoshop.

Thanks! I'm on Mac OS X. I think I'll be asking my IT people about screen shots. Hmm...now I just gotta come up with a plausible "reason" to know this.

Try a Command-Shift-3.

(Shouldn't excuses for this be easier to think up in your line of work than in most?)

When I'm not distracted by that pesky thing called work, I'm fiddling with that South Park generator making pics of the fang gang... soon as I find a decent animated gif generator I'll post 'em.

What's your OS? Bit (my source, apparently, for all graphics related questions) sent me a cute little animation program that works with Windows -- it seems to be created for Windows 95 but works without a hitch on my Win XP machine. Let me know what you're running and I'll mail it to you.
