Useless, but neat!

I don't know whether there's any particular use for new, non-intuitive ways of presenting internet search results, but this one is just so pretty. KartOO is a Flash system which presents its findings as a map. For example, I ran my standard egotism-googlism, "d'Herblay buffy," and came up with ( this honkin' big graphic. )

meta-internet, atpo, technophilia

Do we not like slayage.tv or something? Just curious, I thought it was alright but I've been schooled lately at AtPo (chat) so I should probably know better

I'm fine with Slayage, but I don't think they like me!

When Derik Badman first wrote up his bibliography, he included a couple of essays by me. After a while, the bibliography was reprinted in Slayage, with my citations intact. Later, however, the bibliography was updated and I (as well as Rob and some other ATPoers) was excised.

Ok, maybe I'm a little resentful. But while I cannot impart motivations to their actions, I would certainly agree that my hackwork is not up to their high standards.

I do not know what your "schooling" has consisted of, but I am now fantasizing a Slayage/ATPo grudge match, a Buffyology gang war even, complete with dancing.

"When you're an ATPoer, you're an ATPoer all the way, from your first no-texter to your multi-part essay."

Doesn't quite scan.

"When you're an ATPoer, you're an ATPoer all the way, from your first no-texter to your multi-part essay."

Hmmm. We've got to find a place for this bit of quotage. Somewhere on the ES pages? At the top of the voy board?

And, er... a Slayage/ATPo grudge match. The academics vs. the "We don't need no stinkin' degrees and/or publication in professional journals to blow your asses out of the water with our Buffyverse elucidations!"

Cool.

I want a map! masqthephlsphr October 11 2003, 13:34:44 UTC
But my primitive browser can't deal with that site's output. Could someone try doing a search on the www for "www.atpobtvs.com" and send me a copy of the results?

Or can you think of a better search term(s) for me?

It's very, very cool, d'Herb! It's like a map of our family--Rob's site, Fresne's, the board, my site.

Here you go. I had to play with the sizing to get everything to fit, and I didn't edit the picture at all, so you have more than just the map.
