Prompt Request...

Nov 05, 2009 21:27

Once again I find myself having completed kind of a long story... okay, a very long story, and am experiencing that empty nest feeling. I got in the habit of writing, but now I don't know what to write. I need something to spark the muse's interest. So gentle friends, can you please lend a hand, or at least some prompts? I make no promises, but ( Read more... )

Ooh, a game! Ok here's some prompts hope your muse likes one or two of them...

1. Time seemed to slow, spiralling down into one single moment that would either make or break her.

2. "I know the truth is out there. Just go find it yourself and leave me in peace."

3. Surely this was all a bad dream and she would wake up any second.

4. She looked down at her fingers, so pale against the blood oozing from her stomach. This wasn't good.

5. "Show me some of those mad skills you're always bragging about..."

6. "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!"

7. There's always cracks in everything I touch.

8. "Texas is a lovely place to visit." She tugged her stetson a little lower on her forehead and ignored the rolling eyes of her partner. "Shut up, it is."

9. It had been a long time since she had felt a woman's hand touch her, and it had been worth the wait.

10. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move, I couldn't do a damned thing until she answered my question.

yay prompts!
1) She watched the woman flirt with her girlfriend and felt panic rising in her throat, she didn't know if she could compete with this lady.

2) It had started out as a pleasant walk in the woods but now they were only a few steps ahead of their nemesis who was enjoying the deadly game of cat and mouse.

3) How had things gotten so screwed up!?

Using my "oxfordshoes" icon so I do not try to steer you towards a particular pairing .... ~wink, wink - nudge, nudge~ ...(although either of your most prolific ones are my favourites!)

No matter how many times she had drawn her weapon in the past, it still caused her heart to pound and every muscle to tense. Once again, she squinted her eyes and held her breath ... [you can punctuate or continue sentence]

1. She jerked awake, not knowing if the nightmare was in fact a nightmare or real, when a hand reached out and touched her.

2. The unknown was what scared her, unlike her partner who revelled in it.

3. Her worst nightmare come true; her ex-husband was standing on the porch of her home looking as menacing as he ever had.
