I want to thank everyone for the support given to me while I've been dealing with the sickness and then loss of my furry companion, BJ. His absence has left a big hole in my heart, but I am healing and will eventually be able to think about him without crying. I haven't really been online since he died, so I'm way behind in responding to comments.

*nods* Those of us who love and bond with our furry companions always end up with a piece of a hearts missing when we lose them. But the love and joy they give us far outweigh that missing piece. It just takes time for the scales to right themselves.

Thanks. It really is beautiful here. Tonight it's actually chilly, but the next couple night are supposed to be back to normal -- I'll probably leave the balcony door cracked open to listen to the waves since I'm right on the beach (though 5 stories up.)
