I cannot stand mouthy kids, and Cassie has turned into one,
she would never have disobeyed her bio parents, she should not
get her license until she is 18, and be grounded until she pays
for her share of the car accident. Liked it.

Heh, I understand your sentiments. However, I do think Cassie is just a typical teen who got into some fairly typical trouble. Janet and Sam will make sure she's properly punished.
;-)

I'm glad you liked it.

Nice little 'slice of life' fic for a typical family with a typical teenager. Nicely done. :)

Yeah, I do think this was a pretty typical situation a family with teenager would/could face.

Nicely done. :)
Thank you. :)

I really could see my parents acting like Sam and Janet... Great interaction. Is there a chance for a Sam-Cassy heart to heart making her understand Janet's view or something?

Thanks. I tried to imagine my own parents had I pulled a stunt like that.

Oh, I think Cassie understand her parents' point of view quite well. She's basically a good kid. She just excercized some poor judgment in skipping school and going to Denver for the concert. And she's got a whole month of being grounded and having extra chores to figure it out, if she hasn't already. *lol*

I'm sure she will before all is said and done. *lol*

Yeah. I think Janet's insticts were right on the money. However, I do imagine that Sam would be the more lenient of the two. ;)

Ah the joys of being the parent to a teenager...

Yet another reminder of why I never had kids...LOL!

Nice realistic bit of everyday life...I really like the fact that Sam backed up Janet's punishment- Most of the time one parent doesn't want to be the bad guy so they try to help the kid out. Good for her!

As if I needed another reminder! *LOL*

Yeah. I have no problem seeing Sam and the more lenient parent, wanting to be more of a friend to Cassie than a mother. But Janet was right and Sam did the right thing by providing a united front. ;-)
