I really liked this! I could just see the adolescent Dana, braces and all, punching her brother Bill in the stomach and doubling him over. I could also see her sister being understanding.

The transition from receiving a card from 'a secret admirer' to talking about Jess seemed natural in the way that dreams do shift from past to present.

Well done! Keep up the good work. :D

Once I got the image of Dana punching Bill like that, I couldn't get it out of my mind. I'm glad it came across well.

Thanks for you support and encouragement, hon.

very interesting segue. I liked the dream element with her sister's approval.

I just know Melissa would have been supportive of Dana's relationship with Jess. She was the most easy going of the four Scully children.

I'm glad you liked it. :)

It's hard to imagine strong Dana Scully as an insecure, brace wearing teenager. But it's real..and the scene where she punches her brother solidifies it. Great job as always.

Yeah, even the toughest and strongest people were kids once. And all kids have their moments.

But it's real..and the scene where she punches her brother solidifies it. Great job as always.
I love that the show gave us the canon of her wearing braces, being a tomboy, being a little overweight, and liking guns as an early age, and the fact that Bill did pick on her when they were kids. It really serves to highlight the differences in Dana the child/adolescent and Dana the adult/doctor/FBI agent. She just gets better with age! *lol*

The scene where she punches Bill just felt to real - that scene wouldn't leave along until I wrote it. :)
