Janet had known fear before. One couldn't have served as a field medic under fire, and not know fear. But nothing had prepared her to face the greatest fear she'd ever know - the possibility of watching her child die, and not being able to do anything about it. Janet was able to breathe again after Cassie recovered, but Janet knew she would never know any greater fear ( ... )

Dana didn’t have many fears. At least not fears that she hadn’t face down and conquered. She’d faced down a disapproving father, dangerous criminals, scheming politicians, a number of ‘monsters’ she’d encountered working the X-Files, and cancer. But the one fear that still lurked in her nightmares and seized her heart was the fear of growing old and dying alone.

Dana loved her family. And even though her father and sister were gone, she loved them just as much as ever. But she had never really loved someone; someone that made her heart beat faster and made her smile just thinking about them. That is, not until Jess walked in her life. She loved Jess for so many reasons, not the least of which was because Jess made her want to love, and to love with all her heart and soul ( ... )

Jess’s greatest fear is to lose someone she loves because of her work as a profiler. After Toni’s murder, having Dana threatened because of the Reaper case only deepened that fear.

Jess had loved her grandfather deeply. She also loved her old partner, John, like a brother. She discovered romantic love when Toni came along. However, it was only when one little redhead, Dana Scully, entered her life that she’d found her soulmate.

The first significant loss in Jess’s life was her grandfather. The one that almost destroyed her was Toni.

I was thinking about Jess and Dana for some reason...don't ask...
and I was wondering about something, that only you can answer, Jess being yours and all..

Now legend has it that a Dhampiresa (Girl child of Vampire and human female) have all the characteristics of a vampire without the weaknesses..aversion to sunlight..fear of crosses..yada, yada. Now we know if Jess drinks blood she heals quickly. She doesn't live off of blood but requires the occasional feeding...
What about immortality? Will she live forever like a vampire or live a above average lifespan?
If so..how does that affect her relationship with Dana?

I know it's irrelavant..but I was wondering how if it ever occurs to Dana..how would it make her feel to know that her lover will outlive her or at least not grow old at the same rate she will. *scratches head*
Just a random brain ripple....you can ignore me...lol

Aw, why not? :)

I think Dana would take issue with that statement! *lol*

You've asked some good questions. And if the muse ever lets me write a sequel to WitK, they just may be answered. *evil grin*

Sam has faced down Goa’uld System Lords; violent, misogynistic assholes; and one petite, angry doctor, all of which scared her at one time or another. But her greatest fear was that one day someone discover she wasn’t as smart as everyone thought she was; that she didn’t have all the answers; that she’d let the people she cared about down.

Sam loved her family and her country. She even followed in her father’s footsteps and chose to serve her country in the military. The first person outside her family to take up residence in her heart, much to her surprise, was an orphan girl from an alien world. Sam loved Cassie and would have really liked to take her in. But she loved Cassie enough to know that wouldn’t be the best for her, so Sam supported and helped Janet when she took Cassie in.

Sam tries not to dwell on it, but when she lost her mother as a young teen, she also lost the joy of her youth. It’s taken her several years to come to terms with that. Making a family with Janet and Cassie was the most effective cure.

Lilly (Cold Case)

This was difficult since I haven't watched the show a few years.

Lilly’s secret fear, is that she’ll one day die forgotten, like the victims in the cold cases she works.

Lilly doesn’t love easily; she guards her heart zealously... most would say too zealously. However, she has a soft spot for the less fortunate. Only her cats, one which has one eye and the other which has three legs, know her unconditional love.

Lilly has lost quite a bit in her life: her father; her mother; but most painfully, her ability to let people in.
