I don't know Dragon Rider, but I really like the personalities you've created for your dragons and the interesting perspective they give us on the wizarding world. An enjoyable read.

Thanks for taking the time to read this even though the basis for the crossover was unknown to you - I really appreciate it, Dearie! It makes me happy that you enjoyed it in spite of that.

Oh, that was lovely.
I'm not familiar with dragon rider either, but Opalskin's 'voice' was perfect given the circumstances.
Well done!

Thanks, Alisanne! I'm glad it pleased you even though you weren't familiar with the source material beyond the movie. Thank you for taking the time to read it in spite of that missing knowledge. ::hugs::

This was astoundingly well-written and extremely compelling. It functioned as a story apart from fandom and that is a rare, rare thing. (What I mean by that is that, had I not ever read/seen DH, I would still love it.)

From the gorgeous opening: The only thing she could do was hurl the caustic fire of her fury at her captors until she was spent. Oh yes, they had tortured and starved her into submission of a sorts, feeding her just enough moondew to keep her from turning to stone, but the rage never abated. It simmered below the surface, perfuming the endless monotony with the acrid promise of vengeance. Dragons were not known for their patience, but she would wait. to the end I adored every word of it.

The rats and the brownies were made of awesome. I loved the way you gave them all distinct personalities and yet they remained a natural part of the story. And, corny as it sounds, it made me so happy to see the dragon have friends.

Brilliant!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous comments - they really turned a not-so-good day into a great one! :-) It pleases me in particular that you think that it could stand on its own, and that the personalities were distinct. I never know how original characters are going to come across and I am relieved to hear that they worked! :-) Thanks for taking the time to read and comment - it was very much appreciated!
