I just realized something, while thinking about the last novel. It may not be much, but I'd still like to share to know your opinions. It's not really a theory, just some thoughts about certain things that keep bugging me.
(
Cut for length (but I swear it's not that long). )

Also, the impression I got from the summary was that Mana thought Allen was his dog. And Road did say that the Earl had told her about Allen; so there would have been no reason for her to show any surprise in the town, since it sounds like she went to that town to meet him.

Uh, I know that he said his name was Neah, but maybe he was referring to his Noah's name, like Joyed is the name of the Noah of Pleasure whose human is Tyki Mikk.

Yes, but Cross asked him if his name was Allen. Why all this fuss about a dog's name? :/

That could be the case, I suppose. I just never really thought he'd have one of those, since his existence as a Noah was kind of a freak accident and all. XD

To be completely honest, I have no real theories as to why Cross asked that. The most I can come up with is that Cross was stalking Mana closely enough to know he had a traveling companion named Allen, but not closely enough to know it was a dog.
I wonder if the full novel would have any insight into that. -really, really wants to read it- XD

Reasons why Road might not have recognized his name: "Walker" may have been an assumed name, and not Mana and his brother's original last name. It's entirely possible that the Noah don't care what his original name is, that the 14th, like Road, no longer bothered to go by his human name and so no one (except maybe the Earl) knew it. There's also no reason to think that crazy Mana Walker, who named dogs after his brother, wasn't -- well -- just plain bonkers, naming this kid after his brother as well, and the only significance is that he's involved with someone who's related to the 14th ( ... )

I'm not saying that she had to know for sure that Allen was the 14th, but that she should have found (and maybe she did and made something about it, because the 14th is dangerous… apparently) it a little suspicious, to say the least. Allen was not a simple human from the beginning; he was an Exorcist, and he was able to see akuma because of his dead stepfather who looked exactly like the Earl, to say the least. Isn't it, well, strange ( ... )

If it really is three circles in the raw, it would fit "Nea" perfectly.
