[In the library, Robin has discovered a very strange bookcase. The contents are shiny, new and dust-free autobiographies, on gleaming new shelves. And each and every one of them has a tacky title and cover that hails from the depths of advertising hell. But that's not the strangest thing about them. The strangest thing is the topics and the ( Read more... )

Is it trying to remember all of its inhabitants by writing down the stories of our lives.

[Chopin is looking through the various tomes, curious on what this place has to write about him.]

Sounds like the Earl has too many puppets for my liking.

[Chopin looks at the spine and the cover but to no avail. But then he flips it so the book is closed. He is looking at the top of the book, where all the pages line up together neatly. Indented in the top of the pages is the word 'ARK' which can only be seen when the book is closed.] Ark?

Does your own book have anything odd about it?

Just the way it's written. My life is not a cheap newspaper article. There's no need to sensationalise things.

Ark...? I'm sure I've heard that before, somewhere.

I'm sure there are some things in your life that are interesting as a huge headline.

I haven't a clue. But whoever this Ark is, it must be well traveled.

...Ahaha. I don't want that, either.

It must be. Maybe someone will know what it means?

Does the book actually span your entire life up until now?

I will ask Lavi. He seems to be well read.

Mostly. It skims over the boring bits a lot, and goes right to all the fun. Its definition of fun - not mine.

Lavi probably would know. Good idea!

Perhaps you should at least keep parts of it then. The parts that you are fond of.

He knows a lot about this area. I am surprised he can keep it all straight.

[ooc: No worries XD. I'm sure you've seen me sneak in grammar fail posts a lot.]

No, I don't think so. [reads out a line] "And during this happy time, little did they know what was yet to come"...that's the sort of book this is. Whatever wrote it is sick.

Is your book all right?

[[ooc: Thanks! ^^; Errors, they hurt me deep in my pedantic soul. But only mine - not other people's.]]

That is unfortunate that this place couldn't provide you with a happy record of your life. It does always tend to focus on the negative.

I'm going to have to sit down and read it. It has a lot of things I don't recall ever happening.

There were plenty of good things it just glossed over. It's all right, memories are better anyway.

What sort of things has it put in? If you don't mind me asking.

Very well said. The book can only take an objective look, and not the way that you remember it.

[Skims through it.] About the last two-thirds of it. I don't remember these people. Or these places like Baroque.

...Objective? Maybe yours is, but I think your book must be a lot better written than mine.

[pauses] Maybe you shouldn't read any more. It could be nonsense, but what if it's your future?

Maybe a different person's opinion then, for your book.

I'm going to read it. Worst case, it is an amusing bedtime story. I mean there are monsters and dragons in it. That is something I don't remember in Paris.

If you put it in some non-burnable casing, I could try to disintegrate it with lightning. But probably best to do it outdoors.
