That would be a carousel. You ride the horses... it's usually meant for kids, but my father and I usually go on just for a laugh.

Want to know something? I kind of think so too. There are rides that are a lot more exciting than that, though... you might be too small to go on some of them, but I bet we could find at least one that would be more fun.

Yeah? So some of them you have to be tall to get on? How come?

Well, because they go fast and some of them go upside-down, and if you're too small for the safety restraints to fit properly, you could fall out.

Yeah, they're safe for people who are big enough to ride them, but if you're not it's best not to risk it, so let's make sure to find things that we can both safely go on together. [smiles wryly] Some of those rides are too scary for me, anyway!
