[For all those interested, that project from a few days ago is finally done. Kanda has managed to transform one of the kitchens into a small cafe-- a quiet, quaint thing with soft green walls, deep red trim, and plants just about everywhere (courtesy of one of the Allens). There's a framed menu of sorts on the wall-- it's more a recommended list of

[Just standing outside of the cafe, really. Reading the menu with his two cats in his arms, the bigger one protests so he puts her down and holds the kitten close. She'll stay close to him anyway, always has.]

[Grins sheepishly.] Yeah, yeah. I like Yu's cooking anyway, best I've had since Jerry's food.

[It's the second time he's been compared to Jerry in the cooking sense-- and yeah, he feels a bit proud at the idea he's gotten that far.]

[Lavi just nods, having a mouth full of stew at the moment. Then again anything would taste so good to him right now, eating cardboard bars for months on end except when they bring back food from the places they visit in Facility. But it is really good.]

What was it that smelled like it had a lot of spices, some kind of roasted chicken or turkey?

No-not really. Just...after not having good food you start to hallucinate their smells all the time.

[Gets up to go get a plate!]

[Just waits where he is, finishing up the stew before putting the bowl down on the floor for the cats. The sodium in the broth won't hurt them too much.]

[Kanda comes back and plants a plate with that delicious roast chicken and some miscellaneous vegetables right in front of Lavi.]
