[It had been nearly a week since he was killed. The entire time, Kanda had stayed in his room in the Southwest to rest. He hadn't left the room until today. And today? He was in one of the infirmaries, looking for bandages

[Suddenly, there's a supportive hand at Kanda's elbow and a brisk:] Honoured disciple. Allow me.
[His tone says, 'Or I will make you. Politely.' Madarao hasn't noticed the Tease, nor is he aware he's dealing with his charge yet, but an Exorcist is still an Exorcist, and thus deserves his help.]
[Kanda forces himself not to jump, although he does glance over. Shit. Shitshitshit. This couldn't be happening. This was the last thing he wanted to happen, aside from running into Apocryphos again.]
...I'm fine, Madarao. ['Hi, haven't seen you in a while.']
[Nice to know he's been lumped with the Apocryphos, mister. There's a slight pause, before his fingers tighten a fraction on Kanda's elbow, forcing him to turn slightly so Madarao can get a better look at him.]
...
[HIGHLY DISPLEASED WITH YOU, YOUNG MAN.]
What in the good lord's name have you gotten yourself into?
[Hey, no offense. Kanda tenses under the hold, staying silent for a few moments. He can't say. He just gives a shake of his head and tries to pull away. He knows he can't lie through it, not with his hands bandaged and his fever, but.
He can still insist he's fine.
Madarao, have Tease flittering its wings at you to let Kanda go.]
[He's not holding Kanda that hard, Tease, plus he's half-convinced Kanda will topple over if he lets go. Pauses to take a quick visual inventory of Kanda's injuries, looking... Not exactly upset, but definitely disquieted by the damage. It's his job to keep watch over Kanda, and it looks like he has fai― Brb man-eating golem spotted. Where did it come from, and who cares anyway. The carnivorous thing must've been drawn here by the scent of his charge's blood, which means Madarao is going to dispose of it. Right. Now.]
[Kanda's protest is completely unexpected, which is the only reason Madarao doesn't stab the thing right through. He does, however, pin it to the wall with his left hand with an audible thud.]
There's nothing to explain. The Tease is mine, let it go. [More like he wants to avoid explaining it. Wants to avoid explaining why the hell is it red instead of black, etc. etc.]

[He's still convinced it was going to munch on you, Kanda. Best comes up with a good excuse before he crushes it.]

You may start by explaining how you came to be in possession of this thing.

Honoured disciple. It is still alive. [Imagine that!] I would suggest you hurry before that changes.
