[Whether you were headed to a courtyard to smoke, to a kitchen to eat, or to a bedroom to nap, it doesn't matter - you will find yourself at the beginning of a very long hallway. While it looks normal, the hallway is full of doors that are anything but.]

[Some doors are big and ominous, like that of an old cathedral. Others are almost futuristic,

[Allen begins to walk by without giving the doors a second glance, though he does stop when he hears music.

Cautiously, he heads over to a door, stopping just as he touches the door knob, debating whether or not he should open it.]

[fallforthesky]

[That music. Depressing how something that should be beautiful makes Lenalee so nervous-- nervous enough to come up behind Allen and touch his shoulder.] Are you going in?

[salutxmelodie]

[He jumps at that, looking back at her in surprise. Though, he quickly smiles.]

Maybe. I'm not...exactly sure if I should though.

[fallforthesky]

I'm sorry. [Withdraws her hand quickly.] I didn't mean to startle you.

...Why's that?

[salutxmelodie]

I guess it's because I'm just wary. That's all. [But after a moment's hesitation, Allen opens the door to reveal a piano room, and the piano is playing by itself]

[fallforthesky]

[Lenalee gives the piano a look of utter enmity as she hovers near Allen's side. Another self-playing piano. It doesn't sit at all right with her.] Be careful if you go near it...

[salutxmelodie]

I will. [He gives her a reassuring smile before entering the room]

[fallforthesky]

[She lingers in the doorway. It's not her place to go in after him, even if she wants to.]

[salutxmelodie]

You can come in too, Lenalee.

[fallforthesky]

[O-oh, good. Relief smooths out some of the worry lines from her face as she crosses over the threshold. She's a real mama-bear in training sometimes.] Do you know this room?

[salutxmelodie]

I do. It looks like one of the rooms from the Ark.

[fallforthesky]

I thought so, too.

[salutxmelodie]

[Looks over at the piano] It reminds me of home.

[fallforthesky]

Did you use the Ark often at home?

[salutmelodie]

...Back in my world, it is my home.

[Okay, well, she's right back to dismayed again. She gives the piano a pained look, clenching her jaw, and lets her breath out between her teeth. A weak sigh at best. It'll never get easier to hear these things, will it?]
