I heal myself with my herbs. Magic doesn't work on its user.

How does magic work? It doesn't exist in my world.

I have a personal store of my own and I can draw on the ley lines that are within the earth if I need more power. But I'm really just a conduct for it, guiding the magic where it needs to go and what it needs to do.

I suppose you could think of them like underground waterways? But they're a source of magic that I can pull from.

Besides Healing? I'm an Empath, I can read emotions and influence them or be influenced by them. The rest are mundane healing skills taught to me by doctors I'm afraid.

I usually have my shields up so it's not a problem. Only surface emotions get through. [Buried ones are safe for the moment.]
