[It's a rather nice courtyard that you've just wandered into. Still stuck in the middle of spring with cherry trees in full blossom and sending their petals everywhere the wind blows.
Only two things look out of place in this tranquil place, the trail of blood that starts at the door and goes to a pile of cherry blossoms under one of the trees. The mound looks vaguely human-shaped and several of the petals are soaked with blood.
The second (or third, if you count the mound as weird) thing would be a heart pinned to the tree with a Crow switchblade right above the mound. Words written in blood just under the heart, "Bookmen need no heart", with some of the letters turned backwards.
The mound itself is suddenly gasping in air and turning on their side to curl up, arms wrapped around his stomach and chest areas. The petals move to reveal Lavi without his eye-patch and covered in blood, petals sticking to his torn clothes.
Just going to lay here for a few moments, dragging in air. Possibly cursing under his breath as well.]
