Mirror trick?

There's a full-length mirror in the hallway, but it doesn't reflect the opposite wall. There's a sitting room in the reflection. And a Kanda in a fairy suit frowning from inside. He has his hands on the inside surface, like a mime.

[Takes the mirror off the wall and sets it on the ground, face-up] Yuu still doin' okay?

[kanda_da]

[It's a reflection of the room in its normal upright position. Nothing has changed.]

Are you lying down, or am I looking at a ceiling?

[hammer_echo]

Yuu're lookin' at the ceilin', yeah. [Pulls out his hammer, sharp tip wedging between frame and glass] I'm gonna try t'remove the glass from the frame and see if that does anythin'...

[kanda_da]

[Kanda stands there and watches. Lavi's strategy does nothing, the frame and "glass" seem completely fused.]

[hammer_echo]

[Puts his forehead against the glass] Yuu... I'm startin' t'run out of ideas.

[kanda_da]

[Kanda holds his hand against the glass where Lavi's forehead rests. Lavi can feel the warmth through the perfectly smooth glass.]

Ah, Lavi-chan... This place hates me, but not THAT much.

Mugen didn't work. Try busting it open with your hammer?

[hammer_echo]

[Pulls back from the glass] And risk killin' Yuu? Have ya gone insane?

[kanda_da]

If the other choice is me staying stuck in this room until I starve to death?

[hammer_echo]

Why ya always gotta be so dang pessimistic?

[Sighs] Get away from the glass, yeah.

[kanda_da]

[takes several steps back]

[hammer_echo]

Farther.

[kanda_da]

Tch.

[pulls an armchair to the farthest corner of the room and sits in it, facing away from the mirror]

[hammer_echo]

[Grits his teeth and without giving himself a chance for second guessing, smashes his hammer down on the glass]

[kanda_da]

[It immediately shatters into tiny, musical ringing pieces. They glitter as they spray into the room and then vanish before they can hit the floor.]

[from the far corner of the room] Did it work?

[hammer_echo]

[Tentatively taps his hammer against the inside floor of the room] I think so.
