Willie Brown in our office should publish a book of quotes the other day he told me "you need a law degree no matter what u end up doing, that way when you become a plumber after law school and blow up someone's toilet you can defend yourself on the lawsuit." I thought that was great

does it matter that the people requesting the autograph were black?

yes because it shows why they were soo disappointed that our Willie brown WAS NOT black. They were expecting to meet this inspirational African political figure quit possibly one of their heroes, and a little white man comes out in a pink shirt. Just kind of humorous is all, doesn't matter that our willie brown is white, has a beard, and wears bright colors either, just adds flavor and detail to the story Chris.

Does that mean that all people who admire Willie Brown are black or that black people are more likely to hold him as their hero?

i do believe the second actually Chris. If hero is the wrong word, then perhaps role model is a better word. I believe as a very prominent African American figure he well deserves to have the respect and admiration of African Americans and whites alike. Although I think Willie Brown has done some amazing things I think African Americans are even more sensitive to all he has done and admire him for it.
