I don't know that there's all that much here to interrupt, so I don't think you are and I guess it can be, but resting isn't all that fun. *and then a headtilt* What's a Companion?

Typist: Coming from that PB, that comment is hilarious.

Why wouldn't resting be fun? *a slight blink, then a smile--it's not exactly a common question for her (yet)* A somewhat intricate position. A Companion is entrusted to care for a client's physical and emotional needs for a specific amount of time.

There are so many others things to do and people to meet. *and, yes, looks even more curious* So -- like a healer?

Well, yes, of course. I might not be in the proper mindset for that, though. A step back is probably a good idea. *blinks, then laughs a little* No, not like that. It's problematic to simplify but a Companion's services are first and foremost sexual.

"It can be, if you're in the mood for resting. If you're not, it's good for -- doing whatever, too." There's a grin, and she shuts her book (tonight it's The Two Towers) and sticks out a hand. "Hi. I'm Elsa."

She smiles slightly, taking her hand and shaking it firmly. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Elsa. What sort of activities does 'whatever' cover here?"

"Oh, I dunno. Reading, sleeping, lounging around, whatever you feel like doing. There's a great library."

"In my book that would fall under the category of rest."

"What's a companion?" Kostya tilts his head, curious and friendly.

"Many things." She smiles, proud of her chosen path. "At the most basic level, a Companion enters into a business arrangement to make love to a woman or a man, but that isn't the extent of the work."

"Oh." Kostya's eyes go huge. "Wow."

It's not often she leaves the House, but when she does, it's usually in the company of an experienced Companion and there's no question at all what her status is-- and high as it is, she's used to that reaction. She smiles and nods, gracefully. "The responsibility is something I hope I'm prepared for."
